Greed.

I've already had a holiday to New York this year but again I'm craving a few weeks away to see the world.

Greedy, some people are lucky to get to NYC in their lifetime let alone have two holidays in a year but just recently I've felt like I've been missing out on things, I need an adventure....

Glastonbury- Part 2

Okay so fun stuff...

Thursday night before the actual festival starts is the best time to explore your surroundings and find some fun things, last year it was a boogie in the Silent Disco tent, this year it was a trip down The Rabbit Hole, or rather crawl.

Yes rumour had it amongst our friends that a secret club had been created at the top of the festival site by The Park stage called "The Rabbit Hole" so we headed off to see if it actually existed or if was one of those silly Glasto rumours such a Cliff Richard has died. Eventually after a lot of walking, asking stoners and searching tents we found it. To enter this club, first you had to fight your way through a mini rave to meet the Mad Hatter who would ask you a riddle (if you had a carrot you could skip the queue!) one you had answered it you were clear to go though the rabbit hole, crawling on your hands and knees through a tunnel of fairy lights and red carpet you eventually arrived through the legs of Alice into a club!

Eventually it all gt a bit too trippy and we decided to leave, the exit was via another tunnel, where the lights flickered on and off as the tunnel got smaller, you crawled out, rather undignified into a cinema (!) which fold out seat and ushers giving out popcorn, the movies were of old festival footage, genius idea.

After pinching ourselves it was time for bed.....

Shangri-la is another area worth checking out day or night, full of the weird and wonderful.

Glastonbury- 40 Years Old and Still Rocking- Part One

Thursday afternoon after a busy morning getting my hair blow dried, dropping the dog off at doggy day care and packing up the car. Myself, my better half and my dear friend Kirsty headed off to the festival mecca that is Glastonbury.

After many a heated argument over quickest way to get to the site, what to listen to in the car and my "little man syndrome" we were soon passing Stone Henge and a few miles from site, poor Kirsty was desperate to get away from our bickering not to mention the sweltering heat in our car.

We luckily had some great hospitality parking passes, meaning our walk from car park to camp site was far less painful than some other punters and hospitality camping is wonderful for one reason only.....flushing toilets which are cleaned daily and have toilet paper.

Also having a hospitality wristband means you have access to a "backstage" area which this year consisted of a bar, tea shop, smoothie shack, restaurant and lounge. When I first started going to Glastonbury 4 years ago this area was very small and you could bump into Kate Moss having a pint with her mates, nowadays they have this vvip section where air conditioned Winnebago's full of champagne are hidden away from non celebrities with their own bar and this year the usual suspects Alexa Chung, Geldofs, Sienna Miller, Kelly Osbourne, Henry Holland were hidden away in this pathetic section and barely came out to see any of the bands, is this what Glasto has become? full of hangers on, models and minor celebs only there for the fashion rather than the experience?

Anyway rant over.....

Luckily I know what ingredients create a wonderful festival atmosphere and especially for Glastonbury that means getting out and exploring the festival, which this year I was determined to do more than ever.

Something you learn very quickly at Glastonbury is that you can never see all the bands you want to, the site is too big and there are so many other cool things to see and do that you're better off just choosing one band that day you really want to see and try and stick to that. It's never about the bands for me anymore, just the people you spend your day with and the experiences you can have.

Top Knotch!

I think, I have finally figured out this top knot trend (months later!) and as for the geek glasses, they're a guilty pleasure for around the house.

Having trouble sleeping after a hectic long weekend at Glastonbury and this intense heat we're having in the UK. No air-con here, we just open all the windows and hope no big spiders creep in... or burglars for that matter.

These little buggers live on the fence in the back garden and I don't fancy a close encounter with them anytime soon.

Just looking at that picture freaks me out.

Annnnd we're off...

I'm off to Glastonbury festival tomorrow but before I go I've spent the day with Spencer being silly, having cuddles and telling him how much I'll miss him (not that he understands!)

Be back on Monday with news, gossip and pictures from back stage Glasto...have a lovely weekend.

Birthday Fun

Out of our group of friends we are one of only a few who are lucky enough to have our own place, so when it rolls around to peoples birthdays we are always more than happy to host them : )

This time it was our great friend Rich's 27th birthday, we had a little bbq (even though it rained) a little Band Hero and ALOT of fake moustashes. Happy Birthday Richy poo, we love you! x

A Little Night Cycle.

I've been working these past couple of days and typically the sun has been beaming down whilst I'm stuck inside the office. Not that I can complain too much about work, I'm really enjoying my summer job so far. So this evening, as I'm alone, I decided to take my bike (Richmond!) and head off on another adventure as the sun was setting.

I took my little camera, of course.....it's no Polaroid though.....someone buy me a Polaroid...

I kept taking pictures of fallen blossom as they looked like hundreds of hearts scattered on the floor, pretty.

As I cycled I listened to my Ipod but kept going back to this song, I love the bass in it : ) watching the video they're on bikes too, it was like it was made for me.

Enjoy!

A Little Trip to.....Cowes

Whilst on the Isle of Wight for the weekend my boyf and I woke up early (as we were sleeping in our car!) and decided it was only right that we made the most of our weekend away and headed off to the little town of Cowes.

This little town was full of gorgeous boutique shops, restaurants and cafes and after a hearty full English we went for a little walk along the seafront, it was heaven, even if we did get a parking fine for overstaying our welcome.

See if you can spot Rolf Harris?!
