Caterpillar Friday..

Howdy : D

I'm so very glad it's Friday, another week of work is over and I'm ever closer to handing in my notice at work, even closer to turning 25 and more importantly even closer to the Brit Awards 2010 (this and Glastonbury being my fashion focal points for the year!)

Absolutely nothing planned this weekend, my parents are up from Cornwall visiting but I'm really not in the mood to entertain so I'll do my best to put a happy face on and push through til Monday....god that sounds awful but I really am feeling that bad! I'm hoping it'll turn into a butterfly of a weekend, caterpillar Friday.....

Have a wonderful weekend wherever you are x x x

Wonders of the Wikipedia

Since banning Facebook at work the days have seemed a lot longer, I'm sure it's for the best though as I have been much more productive googling all sorts of important things such as the calories in Starbucks Hazelnut Hot Chocolate and the lyrics to Interpol's C'mere.

A friend recommended that I get a life and start learning some new "facts" about people, places etc on Wikipedia. My first port of call after finishing the Twilight Saga recently was to head to "Breaking Dawn" which lead me to the leaked manuscript of "Midnight Sun" This is Stephanie Meyers companion novel to Twilight written from Edwards perspective....fascinating stuff, such a shame it was leaked and now won't be finished for a long while......boooooo!

So here you go- read the manuscript here

I'm going to see what else I can find! x

Nicest Thing.

Title shamelessly stolen from this song which came on randomly at home the other day, this video is too cute.

Play time

I've been fiddling with the settings on Blogger during my "I'm bored of life, shoot me now" day. Maybe this was why I was drawn to the black background?! However the pastel colours cheer it up a bit, so it's not all doom and gloom.

Throughout my day I've been obsessing over lookbook, adding fashion inspired new bloggers to my ever increasing lists of blogs to follow and figuring out if I actually need a pair of lace up booties for my trip to Brighton this weekend- So far I'm thinking yes, obvs.

I was a little bit annoyed that Glamour Magazine this month decided to write about lookbook, it was a little (well global) secret site of mine which I liked to pinch ideas from, recycle and make my own. I thought "now every bloody bricklane/camdenmarket/brightonian uniformed girl will swamp the place" with a heavy sigh.

However I was pleasantly surprised when this little beauty showed up! I'm LOVING this girl, shamelessly stolen from her blog. Pale, beautiful and from the UK which obviously makes here majorly cool.

Sooooo backtracking (ever so slightly) I say keep the ideas coming ladies, lets show the rest of the world what we're made of ; ) x x x

Friday already?

Another week has gone, still I haven't written a personal statement for my teacher training application or figured out who will write me the best reference but I have:

Bought this cool dress.

Bought these cool shoes

Mystery shopped here and here for work

I also made a few awesome new friends on a training course, this NEVER happens to me.

Also very proud of this, they broke up a while ago now but I have very happy memories of watching gigs before, during and after they were famous (sort of!)

The fact that 500 Days of Summer chose my favourite track, well that's just peachy.

Have a listen here if you like it!

Have a wonderful weekend x

Sunday 10 January 2010

Afternoon,

As it's STILL snowing here this weekend hasn't been very productive. We're not used to snow in England, everything grinds to a halt and people become "snowed in" because of the tiniest bit of snow. Our schools close, trains break down which basically results in the general public becoming total wusses, hiding indoors avoiding work at all costs all because of a few inches of snow- can you tell I'm annoyed?!

Although this image taken by NASA on Thursday did made me think of The Day After Tomorrow movie.

I don't mean to bitch, it's just hilarious how London becomes a pathetic bungling clumsy mess, much like Hugh Grant in some ridiculous rom-com.

Rant over for now because despite the problems it causes I can't deny how pretty everything looks dusted in snow, including our little back garden x x

Fashion....fafafafa Fashion

I love this look on men, swoon.

Which reminds me of this...

Jazzercise, pah! these guys make me giggle. x

HELLO 2010!

Okay so it's taken a few day but I've snapped out of it, had a long bath, text a few of my closest friends and reminded myself what this year is all about....CHANGE.

My to-do list is bubbling over with events for the next few months, house ideas and little thoughts that are randomly popping into my head. I find that reading other peoples blogs helps this process and after my mind whirs for a good few minutes I can plot little adventures and focus on tasks ahead.

My darling boyfriend has already started organising my 25th birthday party, this is vitally important as last year I lost my job the week before my birthday so this one needs to be special.

Now all I need to do is suffer the next few months at work, then my 2010 adventure can really begin...whoop x

SNAP OUT OF IT!

Somedays (usually on a Sunday) I will be in such a dream world that not even the sight of Robert Pattinson walking down my road will snap me out of it. This past weekend I've been in said state and can't shake out of it.

I've wasted my long weekend;

Sat in my pjs watching Sex and the City re runs

Singing along to tunes on Spotify

Uploaded some pictures I took when it snowed...see below.

Teaching myself 3 chords on the guitar- I can now play Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison, I say play...

Bizarrely I feel as though I'm missing something vital, like I've given up cigarettes or I'm putting off a massive essay. URGH WTF?!

I need a hug/cup of tea.

Soul Mates.

Spencer knows me so well, even when we're miles apart he still knows how I feel....

Miss You x x x
