Dear London,

We can't be together, that hurts, but it doesn't mean I won't think of you and my favourite things about you..

Endless supply of people watching on my lunch hour
Crazy tube people/mice/rats
High Street Kensington, the best shopping in London
The night buses, party til dawn then grab a bus to your front door, genius!
Hundreds of Cafe Rouges and Pizza Expresses to dine in with friends (for cheap)
History everywhere.
Tate Modern, St Pauls, South Bank
London Movie Maps
The Stylist, every Tuesday.
So many cool girls and boys to admire.

I think there's too much to say.

I love you London, thanks for everything x

Pictures and music.

As much as I've resisted I actually am now quite fond of Mumford and Sons especially this song:

Please listen to it and look at my little picture collection from our latest trip to Cornwall, pictures by me and my photographer Grandfather (can you guess which pictures he took?!)

Bang Bang Bang.

As promised, my new fringe, far from my curly locks in my header.

That Clark Kent Effect.

Personally men in glasses float my boat, Clark Kent is so much hotter than Superman and thankfully it seems geek glasses will be in fashion for a while, swoon.

Okay, I may be joking about the last one.

Lists for the unemployed.

Lists, I love them and in 9 days time I shall be officially unemployed (by choice)and my list of things to do is ever increasing. I actually think I'm just petrified of being bored so in preparation I've started my "list for the unemployed" and it goes a little something like this....

Make a quilt

Start gardening

Re-do our window boxes (more pansies)

Finish the dining room with charity shop/vintage pieces

Paint our bedroom

Keep on running

Volunteering

Teach Spencer to "high five"

Research and prepare for teaching interview.

After several years of shift work I think this list should really have catch up on sleeeeeep as the first point, but making a quilt sounds like fun : )

I wonder how long it will take me to stop waking up in a panic every 3am thinking I'm late?

Of course there are more important things to worry about like bill paying and not being able to go within a 5 mile radius of Topshop but I LOVE a challenge.

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

Speaking of bangs, I've got some (fringe to everyone else!) will post pics tonight.

Mother's Day

Being at the other end of the country from my family is at times hard, my own little family are wonderful but sometimes a girl needs to see her mum.

So this year for Mothering Sunday, we packed our bags got up super early and drove down to Cornwall to surprise my wonderful mum. My dad made sure mum would stay in on Saturday and I even Skyped her on Friday night to say expect a flower delivery at midday Saturday really sorry we can't be with her.

So after a 5 hour journey and 2 bunches of lilies later we arrived in sunny Cornwall (it's been beautiful weather down here) I couldn't love my family more right now.

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's day x x x

The Big O

Confession, I never actually watched the Oscars this year :( but somehow I always manage to find a reason to weep like a baby at any clip shown on the TV. This year I cried as Kathryn Bigelow received her Best Director award and shed a tear for the "oh so lovely I want to be her best friend" Sandra Bullock for no reason other than happiness for them both, I'm such a baby.

Now that the awards and parties have passed and of course the weepy news clips have stopped I've trawled through all the dress photos, good and bad and here are my favourite four.

Kate Bosworth in Valentino, I love this colour so beautiful on her. quite bold compared to all the muted pastel shades that most people were wearing but she totally pulls it off and her hair looks stunning.

Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab, again the colour is just so beautiful, delicate and feminine. I love the ruffles in this dress too, so pretty.

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab, Oooooh this print! and the heart shaped bodice so so so pretty.

And finally Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham (more famous for her wedding dresses)I'm probably old enough to be her mother but wow she looks so amazing in this dress, I love the whole underwear as outerwear look and she pulls it off without looking too "done"

Beautiful ladies x

Oscar Bravo

Happy Sunday, it's a beautiful sunny day here and boo hoo I'm sick. I've been inside all weekend, watching films and thanks to a couple of my friends directing me to streaming websites watched all the episodes of Glee : )

Luckily for me to keep my mind occupied it's the Oscars tonight, a little later than normal I think? The best thing for me about the Oscars are all the beautiful dresses (or dress disasters!) When I was in my teens I was totally in love with Gwyneth Paltrows dress when she won the Best Actress gong for Shakespeare in Love, shame it was overshadowed by her speech!

Very jealous wish I wish i could be back in sunny LA getting distracted by movie stars.

Anyway back to the sick bed I trot, I have more films to watch and sleep to catch up on...

Hugs x x x

It's Business Time!

Oh yes, thanks to my marvelous ticket buying abilities (I once got front row Girls Aloud tickets for a client when I was a personal shopper) I managed to secure 4 tickets to see these wonderful chaps.

If you don't know who they are, shame on you but it's not too late! look them up here, or do yourself a favour and buy them here

here's a few of their best tunes. Enjoy! x x

Another great reason to send a letter.

I Love these stamps issued by the Royal Mail to celebrate 150 years of the Battersea Dog & Cats home. So cute and for an excellent cause, I wish I had more space to re home a dog.

Buy them here.
