Last night as I crawled into bed next to my already fast asleep boyfriend around 2am I channel surfed and happened across the end of an interview with Stephen Hawking. Not my usual sort of feature to watch on TV but I needed something to send me off to sleep and this was perfect.
As I tried to get comfortable, tossing and turning in the the heat, Spence lying on his back feet in the air snoring away, the interview concluded with 3 pieces of advice Hawking has given his children;
"One, remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Two, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose and life is empty without it," he said. "Three, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don't throw it away."
Okay, Okay universe! I get it, giving up work was not the smartest idea I've had...but I appreciate you getting Stephen Hawking to tell it to me straight....meh.
Check out the full interview with Diane Sawyer here.
